Pica Innovation Centre BV receives subsidy for In Mould Labelling Project

Subsidy received for the Project ‘IML-In Mould Labelling of PET-Bottles’
Decoration of bottles with adding labels during the blow moulding process. Label on a carrier film comes into contact with the PET material in the blowing process. The adherent layer of the label connects with the hot bottle. A new innovative concept based on reduced resource consumption , improved operation in the recycling process and no scrap with respect to traditional self adhesive labels.
Within the scope of the single use plastic directive a weight reduction of 20% is foreseen for most of the plastic packaging. A project of which Pica is proud of as it’s fully in line with the company vision to invest and participate in projects that contributes to an improved environment.
